Eurofuncenter for all your ski maintenance

As far as the comparison goes, bring your ski or snowboard for a big turn just like your car to a specialist. But just like with your car, you can easily do small maintenance yourself. The waxing and grinding of skis or snowboards is not racket science. The point is that you know where to start and end. The beauty of maintaining your own skis or snowboards is that you will appreciate them more. Sounds crazy, of course, but taking good care of your material also pays for itself on the track. More fun and performance.

Waxing your skis

All our new skis and snowboards come factory tuned out of the box. That means that they got a wax layer in the fabrike. With this layer you do about a day or 5 depending on the type of snow and you can see what is under your board. This means that you will have to put a little wax under your board on half of the week. You can do that in two ways. With an applicator and polish your coat or with a wax block and an iron (as the pros do). The latter is a bit more work, but results in a better result. And as said it is very nice to do, but that comes from the mouth of someone who lives with the statement that it should not lie on the material ;-). More basic information about waxing your board can be downloaded via the wax explanation from Holmenkol. There are also many Youtube videos about it. One of them is below ...

Sharpening steel edges

That is a profession and you only have to do it when you are sure what you are doing. What we always recommend is to have a diamond file in your pocket for brambles, but an average winter sports holiday goes with the steel sides. Or it must be 7 days of ice sheets, then you will notice it. We have simple steel edge grinders in our range, but also the more complicated ones for the real pros. Often you know yourself under which category you fall. A lot can also be found on the internet about waxing and grinding. One of the toppers is below.

For the big wax and sharpening on your skis and snowboard we have a solution with our wax and grinding service. We would like to refer you to our special wax and grinding page .
