Plane sailing as we used to say is one of the most beautiful water sports there is. Alone or with a few friends you can immerse yourself in the speed or the calmness that windsurfing gives you. A beautiful sport where you go forward over the water with the help of a surf sail and a surfboard with the help of a (preferably powerful) portion of wind. If you go on the water for windsurfing, you need a few things. To get started, you need a windsurf board, a surf sail, a mast, a boom, mast foot extender, base plate and some small accessories.

Whatever you have to use is a trapeze . This allows you to hang on your boom by means of trapeze ropes and you can surf longer because you are less tired, but also your posture gets better so your speed is also higher. For every windsurfer there is something to be found whether you are a freerider or have mastered the latest tricks, but perhaps you are the new Dutch record holder on speed every board, every sail is different. You have so much choice that it is sometimes difficult to find the right set. We are therefore happy to help you optimize your windsurf set. In addition, we at Eurofuncenter always have the best deal so that you never pay too much.

Windsurf stuff

Windsurfboards, sails, masts and booms come in various sizes. The windsurf boards have volume in liters as an indication of how much buoyancy a board gives. Sails work with square meters, masts and booms work with meters / centimeters. It is always important to coordinate the combination of board and sail well. It sometimes happens that a sail is too big or too small for a certain board. As a result, the board cannot sail optimally. Another factor that plays a role is the size of the fin. This gives a certain lift and ensures that you sail straight and keep a grip on the water.

Too small a fin can cause you to get a spin-out (your surfboard slides away at the back and you go sideways over the water instead of straight) and this often results in a crash. However, a too large fin has so much lift that your board cannot be properly controlled and the board rises continuously from the water. There are different brands that produce fins and on sites of these brands or on our webshop you can find diagrams how big your fin should be in combination with your sail. As a rule, the larger your sail is, the larger your fin must be.

At Eurofuncenter we also always have various complete windsurf sets on offer to be ready in one fell swoop with a brand new set. These sets are also always ready to go! Windsurfing. Then Eurofuncenter is your store to start.
