Buy new skis! With these tips you can be sure that you will succeed.

How do I choose the right ski?

Beginner, intermediate or expert, there are different skis best suited for every skier. It is important that your skis are tailored to your level and frequency of use. Once you've determined that, your skis will provide comfort, fun and safety. The right skis can transform you into an Olympic-level skier in no time. ok, almost then ;)

Which ski suits me?

Beginner | Lightweight skis

The shorter your skis, the more agile they are! As a beginner, we recommend that you choose skis that are 5 to 10 cm shorter than your own height. Skis with a good grip and a short turn radius ensure optimal responsiveness: perfect for staying in control of your skis. Beginner skis are not inferior to advanced skis in terms of material, but they are often lighter in weight. Tip: read the description per ski at the bottom of our product pages to determine whether the ski is suitable for you.

Advanced | All mountain skis

To be able to ski both on and off the slopes, it is best to buy all mountain skis. They are slightly wider (between 75 and 85 mm), have a fairly long nose and a light rocker: extra lift on powder and excellent maneuverability for carving on the slopes! The stiffer your skis, the sharper and more technical they are. These types of skis are more suitable for advanced and experienced skiers who like speed and carving. Smooth skis are perfect for beginners and skiers who like to cruise quietly on the slopes!

Expert | Freeride skis

Can't the slope be steep enough for you? And does fresh powder snow put an instant smile on your face? Then you are probably thinking about buying freeride skis. At least 85mm wide, the skis offer excellent off-piste lift and feature a rocker front and rear to enhance lift and directional effect.

Expert | Freestyle skis

Skis for freestylers and snow park enthusiasts must first and foremost be manoeuvrable, both in the air and on the snow! They should be light for easy jumps and figures, and symmetrical to slide both forwards and backwards and land smoothly on every jump. Your choice will then fall on twintip skis.

What length of skis do I need?

Okay, you already know what type of ski you are looking for, but which size of ski is best for you? The length of your skis depends primarily on the intended use, but also on your height. We give you an overview table with all sizes and an image with lengths of different types of skis.

Will my ski bindings be fitted?

Yes, of course! At Eurofuncenter we mount the bindings on your skis and adjust them perfectly so that you can enjoy your winter sports carefree! What do we pay attention to when adjusting? Bindings are equipped with a spring system that ensures that they come loose in the event of a fall to avoid serious injuries. This suspension system is adjusted to your level, physique (height and weight) and the type of ski. These factors determine the choice of bindings and their adjustment. Beginners should opt for fairly flexible bindings that open very quickly in the event of a fall. Experts prefer slightly firmer bindings.

Do I need ski poles?

No skis without ski poles! They serve as an aid while skiing and must therefore be perfectly tailored. To determine the correct length, turn them over, place them upright and place your hand just below the wreaths. Your forearms should make an angle of slightly less than 90°.

Have you been inspired to order skis? Take a quick look at our wide collection of skis from Atomic, Dynastar, Elan, Fischer, Head, K2-ski and Salomon.

Would you rather view skis in a shop? This is possible with free advice in one of our stores.
