Who's the Neo for?
Beginner: Very suitable because of the wave properties, especially if you might want to add a directional wave board in the future. In many schools the Neo is also used as a lesson kite. Easy water relaunch and very good depower.
Freerider: Yes, great for cruising back and forth and occasionally making a big jump, but reacts a bit faster than the average freeride kite.
Freestyler hooked in: Thick jumps, backrolls, frontrolls, yeah, it's all possible, but it doesn't necessarily excel.
Freestyler/Wakestyler unhooked: If this is your thing you might want to look at a C-shape like kite like the Cabrinha FX, GA Pure, Duotone Dice or even Vegas.
Wave rider: OH YES FOR SURE! This is your kite! And THE way to go! Attention, the Neo is best sailed 1 size smaller with a Directional wave board.
Strapless freestyler: Yeah! Yes! Yes!
Foiler: Because of the wave properties of the kite he is also very suitable to foil with!
Now I want the Eurofun story, what kind of kite is it?
The Neo is one of the best selling Duotone kites in the world. This is because despite it being one of the best pure wave kites, it is also very suitable for novice kiters. He is very powerful, but with a lot of (easy to control) depower. This gives you the feeling of control over the kite when you start. The good water relaunch you can expect from a wave kite is of course also very nice as a beginner. But if you are a bit more experienced after that and you want to jump a bit, this is also very easy to do with the Neo.
But let's not talk too much about that, because it remains a number 1 in wave! For starters there is no other kite that has won more strapless freestyle and wave competitions than the Neo. And that's not for nothing.
Of course the Neo has super good drift properties, so it will always go nicely with you when you are surfing without pressure from the kite to feel the wave. But even when there is no power on the kite it still reacts fast.
You can best take the Neo (on a directional surfboard) one size smaller. This is also nice, because it reacts a bit faster.
Don't forget to adjust the brigdle setting, to see what you like best. 1 for more and less bar pressure.
What's with it:
- Kite bag
What's not there, but needed:
- Bar (preferably a bar of the same brand because of y-splitting otherwise a Duotone Clickbar)
- Feel like kiting
- 2nd and 3rd kite (optional of course, but very nice)
- Super good drift
- Easy water relaunch
- Lots of depower (real sheet and go feeling)
- Even though it's a wave kite, it's very diverse.
- Reacts very fast, even when there is no power on the kite
- For Unhooked / wakestyle it is not so suitable. But what do you want... it's a wave kite.
What else do I need to know:
If you buy your kites from us you have to wave if you see one of us on the water!
