Who's the Slash for?
Beginner: Great kite to start with because of its wave characteristics. A real sheet and go feeling combined with easy water relaunch and lots of depower.
Top choice if your ultimate goal is to go into the waves with a directional wave board.
Freerider: It is of course a real wave kite, but with a large wind range and a real sheet and go feeling and a great kite to freeride with. He does steer a bit faster than the average freeride kite, but that's also a matter of personal preference.
Freestyler hooked in: You don't buy this kite to do thick tricks and loops. But he can do it all. Only if you only want to do this you better go for a good freestyle kite.
Freestyler/Wakestyler unhooked: If this is your thing you might want to watch a C-shape like kite like the Cabrinha FX, GA Pure, Duotone Dice or even Vegas.
Wave rider: Best wave kite there is? He's in the top anyway. Super good drift and depower and little pulling power in the corners. The Slash has become a household name in the wave scene.
Strapless freestyler: Of course this kite is perfect for this. From beginner's level to expert.
Foiler: Yes very suitable! Partly because he spins fast and does not pull too hard, this kite sails very well on a foil.
Now I want the Eurofun story, what kind of kite is it?
For the real wave / strapless riders Naish made the Slash. A pure wave kite that does very well in both soft and hard winds. The Slash has a lot of depower and is very easy to use for such a high end kite. Because of this, even beginning kiters can use the Slash very well. An easy water relaunch and good upwind qualities also contribute to this.
But make no mistake, for the real (future) wave riders this is a real treat! Enough drift and turning power to surf every wave as pure as possible without your kite pulling or you surfing under your kite. Everything you look for in a real wave kite has the slash!
What's with it?
- Kite bag
What's not there, but needed:
- Bar (preferably a bar of the same brand because of y-splitting otherwise a Duotone Clickbar)
- Feel like kiting
- 2nd and 3rd kite (optional of course, but very nice)
- Lots of drift power
- Lots of depower
- Rotates quickly with little traction
- Sheet and go feeling
- Very reliable with little or a lot of wind
- Very fast water relaunch to get you out of the craziest situations as fast as possible
- Less suitable for real freestylers or pure freeriders.
What else do I need to know:
If you buy your kites from us you have to swing if you see one of us on the water!
