Who's the Pivot for?
Beginner: Very suitable! In several schools the Pivot is used as a lesson-kite. This is because it is a super forgiving kite with a real sheet and go feel. So it sails very easy. You get up wind easily and the water relaunch is also great. This is because of the freeride wave properties of the kite. But this together ensures that you have a very nice first kite, which you might not step off for the rest of your life.
Freerider: The Pivot is a delicious, but really, delicious freeride kite. Great cruising with a kite with which you constantly feel very good where it is. Jumps very easy, but with the good timing very high!
Freestyler hooked in: Yeah what can we say about this now. If you watch Red Bull King of the Air every year you probably already know enough. Kevin Langeree won that contest twice with the Pivot. Big (but really big) air, with if you want it like Kevin, thick mega loops in the most extreme circumstances.
Freestyler/Wakestyler unhooked: If this is your thing you might want to watch a C-shape like kite like the Cabrinha FX, GA Pure, Duotone Dice or even Vegas.
Wave rider: The Pivot is a freeride / wave kite. This makes him super on a directional wave board. He doesn't pull hard in the corners and has a good drift.
Strapless freestyler: Yeah, but if this is your main goal you better watch a Naish slash, Duotone Neo or Cabrinha Drifter.
Foiler: Yes very suitable! Partly because of its good low end (light weather) qualities, the Pivot is great for foiling.
Now I want the Eurofun story, what kind of kite is it?
Where to start... The Pivot is one of the most popular kites of this moment. Kevin Langeree has a big part in this by winning the Red Bull King of the Air 2 times. The success of the Pivot lies in the diversity of the kite. You can do almost anything with it and then also from beginner to world class level.
The Pivot is a very friendly kite with a very forgiving character. That is also the reason why the Pivot is often used in kite lessons. He has a real "sheet and go" character which means that you can easily sail away as a beginner.
The water relaunch is top notch and it is a topper to sail upwind.
All these features are of course also great when you get into more extreme situations and want to do more extreme jumps and tricks. Then it's great if you have a kite that is forgiving and reliable and helps you where you need it.
And then we come to the special thing about this kite. The Pivot is very good with little wind. Even as a beginner it is easier to get upwind.
But you don't sacrifice anything when it comes to strong winds! And of course that's insane and that makes the Pivot a real friend for everyone.
So do you want to do kiteloops when the roof tiles of the houses fly, or are you making your first meters? The Pivot is your friend.
What's with it?
- Kite bag.
What's not there? I do need:
- Bar (preferably a bar of the same brand because of y-splitting otherwise a Duotone Clickbar)
- Feel like kiting
- 2nd and 3rd kite (optional of course, but very nice)
- Super all-round
- Good for all levels
- Easy upwind
- Jumps very easy
- Lots of hangtime
- Fast water relaunch
- Real sheet and go feeling
- It is less suitable for the wakestyle / unhooked freestyle.
What else do I need to know:
If you buy your kites from us you have to swing if you see one of us on the water!
