Who's the IQ for?
Beginner: Very suitable for beginners. The IQ has very good beginner characteristics. These are due to the good freeride wave combination. The water relaunch is super good and it sails very easily upwind.
Freerider: Top kite for every freerider. Low end (soft wind) is very good and it sails very easy upwind. Also the jumping is very easy and he has a good handtime. Since 2019 the high end (hard wind) has improved even more so that you can control him in all situations.
Freestyler hooked in: Great kite for this, but if you really want to run, this is not the kite and you better watch a GA Pure or Duotone Dice.
Freestyler/Wakestyler unhooked: If this is your thing you might want to watch a C-shape like kite like the Cabrinha FX, GA Pure, Duotone Dice or even Vegas.
Wave rider: OH YES FOR SURE! This is your kite! And THE way to go! Very good drift and water relaunch. He also steers very directly.
Strapless freestyler: Yeah go ahead, the wave properties help enormously.
Foiler: Because of the wave properties of the kite it is also very suitable for foiling!
Now I want the Eurofun story, what kind of kite is it?
The IQ is a very friendly, but very allround kite. Because of the combination of Freeride and wave the target group for this kite is very large. It sails very easy and reacts fast, which is very nice in the waves. Also the water relaunch is very good and it sails easily upwind.
In the low end (soft wind) it is very good, which is also very nice for beginners who can sail a little less technical. For the wave riders you have a good drifting fast reacting kite with a light bar pressure.
For the freeriders it's a fine kite that reacts quickly and jumps easily with a good hangtime.
So in the end you have a very stable and friendly kite that is a good friend for both beginners and more experienced kiters! And let's be honest, the price is also neat.
What's with it:
- Kite bag
What's not there, but needed:
- Bar (preferably a bar of the same brand because of y-splitting otherwise a Duotone Clickbar)
- Feel like kiting
- 2nd and 3rd kite (optional of course, but very nice)
- Super kite for beginners
- Good drift and wave properties
- Good water relaunch
- Good low end
- Jumps easily with good hangtime
- Nicely priced
- For the real extreme storm sessions you better have the GA Spark or Pure.
What else do I need to know:
If you buy your kites from us, you have to wave if you see one of us on the water!
