The 20/21 Apex 8 is a renowned harness in the market. ION’s most sold model is appreciated amongst many watersport enthusiasts all due to its prominent features. The tall circumference of this harness ensures maximum support while the newly designed '3D Curv Spine' offers even more stability. As compared to previous years, the pressure points are distributed more evenly whilst the flexible sides provide increased freedom of movement. Specific 'EVA' material is utilized as a lining to prevent the harness from crawling up and rotating, ensuring a more enjoyable session.

The flex index is ranked 8 out of 20, which suggests this harness is considered to be “moderately stiff”. 

We believe the Apex’s shape is suited for all back postures (hollow and round), in spite of that, in our experience we have found customers who have a hollow back to be extremely satisfied by the increased support and more equal distribution of pressure points.

The 20/21 Apex 8 is equipped with ION's C_Bar 2.0, which contains a stainless steel hook. The easy-to-use tension lever system allows for a quick closing, fastening, and unlocking of the harness without the need for constant adjustments. The spreader bar comes without a rope slider, but can be added as an option. Thanks to the modular hook system, the spreader bar, and hook can be easily upgraded to suit everyone’s personal preferences.
