Duotone Evo 2020
For whom is the Duotone Evo:
Beginner: YES! Despite the fact that the Evo performs very well on high level as King of the Air, it is also a super good kite to start with. He is very predictable and sails and feels very natural. He sails easily upwind and has a very good water relaunch. This is also the reason why we use the Evo a lot in our own lessons. Furthermore, it is the perfect first kite because you can go in any direction of kiteboarding and choose for yourself what you like the most.
Freerider: YES! Sails easy upwind, jumps easy and has a lot of hangtime. Nice cruising, an occasional big jump and leave all the worries on the land while you and your Evo enjoy a beautiful sunset after work. Watch out for those seals!
Freestyler hooked up: High, hard, board offs, kiteloops, he can do it all. One of the reasons the Evo is so popular is because it makes you look good. It jumps very easy with a lot of hangtime, which of course is also great when you're just starting to jump.
Freestyler/Wakestyler unhooked: Do you want to try a little bit to crochet? Of course you can do this with the Evo! However, it's best to set the line setting on the kite's tips. But if you're boating and especially want to hook out and run, you might want to check out a C-shape like kite like the Cabrinha FX, GA Pure, Duotone Dice or even Vegas.
Wave rider: YES! Of course the Evo won't let you down here either. Set the line tip setting on the kite to soft for even more drift and you're good to go! (If you don't, you're good to go!) If you want to get really dedicated waves, you'd better go for a Duotone Neo or Cabrinha Drifter.
Strapless freestyler: YES of course! But also here the same as the Wave rider.
Foiler: YES! You can definitely go foiling with your Evo. The drift properties help a lot on your foil. If you really only want to foil you might want to go for a Duotone Mono or Neo.
Now I want the Eurofun story, what a kite it is:
Well here we go. ALLROUND ALLROUND ALLROUND!
The Evo is what Eurofun calls "a thing" in the positive sense of the word. It's so versatile that it can be used anywhere. We use it in our kite lessons, but it is also used in the King of the Air.
The Evo is a very friendly kite and that is a characteristic that is almost always very nice. Whether you're in light weather and just upwind where the freestyle kites are going, whether you're pulling kiteloops in a thick storm, or slashing thick waves. A friendly kite is always nice and welcome.
It is therefore quite simple. Don't you want to commit to one discipline within kiting and do you want a kite that "helps" you in all situations without sacrificing performance? Then come and get him.
What's with it:
- Kite bag
What's not there, But needed:
- Bar (preferably a bar of the same brand because of y-splitting otherwise a Duotone Clickbar)
- Feel like kiting
- 2nd and 3rd kite (optional of course, but very nice)
- Everything is possible, but really!
- Also for beginners!
- Easy sailing (sheet and go)
- Very good upwind
- Good depower
- Jumps easily with a lot of hangtime
- Is nowhere really specialized in
What else do I need to know?
If you buy your kites from us, you have to wave if you see one of us on the water!
