Brunotti Buster 2018
Who's the Buster for?
Beginner: Less suitable for beginners, because he is a bit more difficult upwind due to the amount of rocker.
Freerider: Even though it's not a freeride board, it goes through the chop very nicely and you can build up a lot of pressure to jump.
Freestyler hooked in: Definitely suitable. The Buster side is very good (also because of the chop) and gives a softer landing because of the rocker.
Freestyler/Wakestyler hooked out: This is what the Buster is made for. With or without boots, no problem. The board has a lot of grip and allows you to build up maximum pressure and pop.
Now I want the Eurofun story, what kind of board is it?
The Buster is Brunotti's wakestyle board. For the riders who can only think of the next trick and are looking for a board that helps them with this. The Buster has a good rocker with channels and concave on the bottom hape which ensures that you have maximum grip and can jump as high as possible. You can sail the Buster with boots, which is done a lot by wakestyle riders.
Plus points:
- Perfect for wakestyle
- Easy by the chop
- Soft landings
- Lots of grip
- Lots of pop
- Can sail on it with boots
Cons:
- Less easy upwind for beginners
What's with it?
- Board
- Finning
What's not there, but is necessary:
- Foot pads
- Grabhandle
- Feel like kiting
General size indication:
The size of a kiteboard remains something personal with no real rules.
This has to do with how much experience you have, in what conditions you go on the water, what you are going to do with it and above all what you like.
The rule of thumb is that beginners want a slightly larger board to make it easier to start the water and get upwind.
And advanced sailors want a slightly smaller board because in situations where the wind is strong, you can give the kite a bit longer back pressure and therefore can jump higher, and / or more maneuverable.
Again, no rule, but below are 2 tables to give you a good idea. If you stick to this, it goes well anyway.
(If you still have doubts, you can always contact us via the site, mail, phone or in one of our shops for personal advice).
Beginners:
50 kg - 60 kg = 128 cm - 132 cm
60 kg - 70 kg = 132 cm - 136 cm
70 kg - 80 kg = 136 cm - 140 cm
80 kg - 90 kg = 140 cm - 145 cm
100+ kg = 145+ cm
Advanced:
50 kg - 60 kg = 125 cm - 128 cm
60 kg - 70 kg = 128 cm - 132 cm
70 kg - 80 kg = 132 cm - 136 cm
80 kg - 90 kg = 136 cm - 140 cm
100+ kg = 140+ cm
Note: You can sail the Buster (because of the rocker in it) 1 size bigger than you would do on a normal freeride board.
