If there is one brand that has been making inroads into the snowboard scene since 2009, it is Jones Snowboards. This is mainly because of the philosophy behind the brand. Jeremy Jones is a mountaineer and is one of the best freeriders today. In the forest of snowboards, Jeremy wanted to bring the sport back to its essence and that is that everyone gets off the mountain in their own way and thus needs the equipment to do so. Only that doesn't have to consist of a collection of 300 boards.

"Jones Snowboards. The freeride snowboard brand!"

Freeriding, in other words, and that's reflected in Jones Snowboards' snowboards. The Mountain Twin, Aviator, Flagship and Hovercraft are all ready to blast down the mountain, only all four ride differently. Jeremy only adds new snowboards to the programme if it actually adds something to the whole thing. This keeps it small and manageable for the snowboarder.

    Jones Aviator

Perhaps the least understood snowboard from Jones Snowboards, and because Jones Snowboards is known as a freeride company, an outlier in the collection. This is because the Jones Aviator is a full-width freestyle board for the men with big cojones. Also known as the Custom X killer. This snowboard in fact has no upper limit, this is mainly due to the 3D camber profile. It just keeps on going. This makes it an ideal snowboard for carving at full throttle on the piste. That you can jump with it speaks for itself, of course. You are the limit of this snowboard. The snowboard comes in 7 lengths from 158 to 164. So for every snowboarder there is a Jones Aviator, but is clearly not a beginner's snowboard.

Jones Mountain Twin + Twin Sister

The all-rounder in the family. The Jones Mountain Twin is the snowboard you grab when you like to spend a day in the park, but on a powder day want to make fun of everyone. The snowboard features a camrock profile. This means there is camber under your feet for stability at high speeds and unmatched grip. Just in front of the nose and tail there is a rocker profile, which makes the board more forgiving. Despite being a twin, the snowboard has a progressive flex pattern, keeping the snowboard under control at higher speeds. The Jones Mountain Twin comes in seven lengths. This snowboard is suitable for intermediate to advanced snowboarders. For the ladies, there is the Jones Twin Sister. Board has the same characteristics, but has ladies' specific sizes.

    Jones Ultra Mountain Twin

Same shape and design as the normal Jones mountain twin. The difference is in a wooden topsheet and carbon stringers, which gives it more pop. The Jones Ultra Mountain Twin is lighter, stiffer and is more responsive than the normal Jones Mountain Twin. A slightly more aggressive board than the normal variant, so more for the advanced snowboarder.

    Jones Hovercraft

The ultimate "with it" board for deeper powder days. You just have to have this one with you. The thrill of a short tail and the deep turns you can turn with it are unrivalled. Whether you want to turn long sprays or short turns through the woods, it's all possible with the Jones Hovercraft.

    Jones Flagship + Womens Flagship

If you want high, deep and hard. Then the Jones Flagship is your choice. The Jones Flagship is the base around which everything is built at Jones. The board's shape profile is a directional rocker. This means a camber profile underfoot and a flat base front and back. The wooden top layer, which makes it almost a sin to go out in the snow with it, provides a board with more pop and is responsive to its rider. Available in 8 lengths with the length 172 cm. Do you really want to read all about the Jones Flagship? Then download this productstory - Jones Flagship from Jones about the Flagship.

    Jones Mind Expander

New in the collection. the board for snowboarding the entire mountain completely to bits. This new snowboard which comes in multiple sizes is for those snowboarders who are not afraid to carve all the way down the mountain, but don't shy away from a fat pow session either. The Mind Expander has a longer nose and short tail, but still good all-round features.

    Jones Frontier

The Frontier, formerly called the Explorer, is a directional freeride snowboard designed to be the perfect everyday all-rounder for the playful all-mountain shredder. With a freeride nose and a freestyle tail, the Frontier is ideal for powder days, park days and every day in between. Want to know everything about the Jones Frontier? Then download the product story about this board!

    Jones Stratos

New to the collection is the Jones Stratos. The new Jones Stratos is a hybrid all-mountain board built with the body of a directional freeride board and the spirit of a freestyle board. A true modern all-mountain ripper, in other words. It comes in both women's and men's

    Jones Snowboards technology

    Directional Rocker Profile
A flex pattern characterised by a nose that has more rocker, allowing it to float better in powder. This results in a calmer ride and forgivable when hitting hard objects along the way. Applied in the Jones Flagship.

    3D Power Camber
A camber profile with slightly rounded sides at the front and back. So it has the responsiveness of a camber board, but is more forgiving because of the curves.

    Camrock
a unique flex pattern devised by the engineers at Nidecker Snowboards and used in Jones snowboards. Cam rock gives the board more freestyle characteristics through the loose feel in the nose and tail, while still allowing you to char because the camber between the bindings.

"Jones Snowboards' technology originates from Switzerland's Nidecker"

    Blunt Nose
How a snowboard rides in deeper snow is largely determined by the shape of the nose. After all, it makes the first contact with the white gold. Just look at your tip of your snowboard and see how much snow comes off the first point of contact. Which means you are ploughing through the snow. By making the nose more obtuse, you get better float characteristics because the snowboard becomes longer and thus will "plough" less.

    Progressive Sidecut
At the end of the sidecut of your snowboard, the radius increases to the contact point of your board (just before the tail of your board). This makes for better turns and better turn entry and exit.

    Mellow Magna Traction
Which cuts through bread better. A knife with a straight blade or one with serrations. Right, the latter. So this also applies to snowboards. Adding multiple contact points gives the board more grip. A rocker board does better in the all-round area, but the lack of contact points with the steel edges sometimes makes it more difficult to snowboard. With the Mellow Traction, the board has grip in all conditions.
